  • Monster Hunter: World has been in development for four years.
  • Originally, it was going to be called "Monster Hunter 5", but the development team really liked the name, "World" (Japanese ワールド).
  • The Base Camp spawns in random places. Each time a hunt starts, hunters will be at a different Base Camp.
  • Hunters can change weapons and armor midhunt by going to the Base Camp. This feature was added due to there usually being multiple large monsters in an area and from each having a different strength or weakness.
  • Hunters can now hunt freely without being held back by the main objective/quest, even if the quest is complete. Hunters can hunt freely without any limits now.
  • Hunters use Scout Flies as guides to help them navigate the area if they can't find the monster and to find certain items, including drool and footprints.
  • The monsters can easily change the environment you are fighting in with certain attacks and destroying certain objects.
  • Each large monster in a location has a territory in a certain part of the area. In some cases, hunters may need to lure another threat into their territory in order to get their target to reveal itself.
  • By hiding from monsters, hunters can avoid fighting them or prepare for a silent escape from the battle.
  • Capcom thought about giving the monsters health bars due to a majority of people. Globally, fans requested for a way to see how much damage they were dealing, so Capcom decided to add damage numbers to the this game.
  • The Quest Giver was fully voiced in English, and she sent the hunter on a quest to hunt an Anjanath, the T-rex-like monster shown in the reveal.
  • Hunters can quickly pick up resources as they run by, meaning you don’t have to stop and wait for foraging animations.

Sorry for late reply, it's a private demo you can sign up for at E3. Four developers from Japan playing the game unscripted (they were unable to defeat Rathalos lol).
  • Started demo off with just one hunter, he tracked the new monster with "scout flies" ...
  • when the battle got rough, he led the new monster to Rathalos Nest very high up in the environment.
  • Rathalos was pissed to see the hunter and the monster creeping into his lair and preceded to wreck everything.
  • Great animations of the monsters fighting each other. The lone hunter sends signal flare and 3 other devs join mid battle.
  • Lots of vertical combat, more than MH4. Seems all hunters have a grappling hook.
  • The monsters interactions with each other was very cool, they encountered 3 different large monsters during demo.
  • One of them ate an herbivore whole lol.
  • The rapid fire on the heavy bowgun is a special ability.
  • The combat looks and feels like traditional monster hunter with quality of life improvements.
  • Day and night cycle is realtime, Rathalos destroyed a dam which cause an area to flood. Sweeping 2 of the hunters out of the area.
  • I really like that they went back to a more prehistoric feeling and mood to the game.
  • The fours hunters fighting together looked awesome, Rathalos has many new attacks, throws and animations.
  • The bow has a nice new attack which drops small bombs on top of the monsters.
  • I think they finally updated the Rathalos model haha.
  • I wish it was a bit more stylized, but the Graphics look great.

Maps and World
Previous Monster Hunters had segmented maps with loading in between each area. Monster Hunter: World has no map loading. While maps are segmented, everything is seamless and transition free. Zones are also gone.There is a great sense of being in a living, breathing world. There is a real-time day-and-night cycle.

Multiplayer
Monster Hunter: World has drop-in multiplayer for the first time in the series. You can form a pre-hunt party beforehand, as you would in previous Monster Hunter titles, or you can shoot up an S.O.S. flare during a quest to call in a friend at any time. Online multiplayer with up to four players is supported, and the server is global, allowing you to play with anyone across the world. There is no offline multiplayer, but you can of course play offline on your own. As for whether there will be some sort of town for multiplayer, that is something Capcom will discuss at a later date. Voice chat and gestures are supported.

Weapons and Equipment
  • The series’ 14 weapon types are in, including the Charge Blade and Insect Glaive. Tonfas are not in the game.
  • There are new suit items called “Mantles.” The one showcased in the trailer, for example, lets you enter a sort-of stealth mode. Conversely, there are also Mantles that let you lure monsters towards you.
  • There is a new item called the “Slinger,” which lets you hook onto certain parts of the environment to move around. You can also pick up rocks from the ground to put in the Slinger and shoot at the enemy or to create a distraction.
  • More information about the Gear progression systems is coming soon.
Battle
The hunting action that is the core gameplay of the Monster Hunter series is no different in Monster Hunter: World. They are not removing anything, but rather building from the bases established by previous titles. The basic elements of Monster Hunter, such as HP, a stamina gauge, sharpness, and item selection, are all there. You can also use items while walking.
Underwater combat and Prowler Mode are not in the game. When asked about Hunter Arts, Capcom responded, “Brand new title. Brand new gameplay systems in place!”

Monsters
Monsters have a variety of personalities, which you can use against them. Their A.I. has been enhanced to be more intelligent, and monsters have become more “creature-like.” They don’t have health bars, but damage numbers will appear. Their tails can still be cut.
As for small monsters, you can choose to sneak past them to avoid fighting them, or kill them to collect / loot their bodies.

Game and Technology
  • Monster Hunter: World is not a spin-off. It is a mainline Monster Hunter title developed by the main development team in Japan.
  • Asked about if there will be a Monster Hunter 5 or new game for Japanese audiences, Capcom said, “This is the next generation of Monster Hunter!”
  • The game is powered by the MT Framework engine. It is targeting a stable 30 frames per second across all platforms.
Misc.
  • Felyne Palicoes are in the game.
  • Fishing, mining, and capturing bugs will return from previous games.
  • The hunt-carve-forge loop of previous games will return.
  • As for a Monster Hunter XX Nintendo Switch Ver. localization, Capcom said it is 100-percent focused on Monster Hunter: World for western audiences at the moment, and has nothing to announce regarding the Switch title.
Private Demo at E3 2017
A private demo was shown off at E3 2017. It began with just one hunter, who tracked the new monster using “scout flies.” When the battle got rough, he led the monster to Rathalos Nest, which is very high up in the environment. Rathalos, angry to see the hunter and monster enter his lair, preceded to rampage. The hunter sent an S.O.S. flare out, and three other players joined the battle.
There was a lot of vertical combat, more so than Monster Hunter 4, and every hunter had a grappling hook. One of them ate a herbivore whole. The rapid fire on the Heavy Bowgun is a special ability, and the combat appeared to be traditional Monster Hunter with quality-of-life improvements. Rathalos destroyed a dam, causing an area to flood and sweeping two of the hunters out of the area.

Nisem nikoli igral serije saj je bila omejena na nišne konzole.
Meni po prikazanem deluje zelo všečno in pozdravljam odločitev, da je monster hunter končno na pravi konzoli ter ga ne bremza več švohotni hardware. Seveda Nintendo fanboysi sedaj kar naenkrat pluvajo po špilu :D

Pa ko to izide bomo itak že končali Horizon dodatek in fino, da obstaja nekaj ''podobnega'' za igrat.

Komercialno gledano je IMO tole verjetno najhujši 3rd party udarec za Nintendo, ki so si ga mogli zamisliti.

Malo vec info:


Problem je, ker se reveal trailer, ki so ga pokazali osredotoca na spremembe, ki so kar velike proti prejsnjim igram. Tiste kresnicke ki ti osvetlijo nabiralniska mesta, skrivanje v grmih, grapling hook, ogrinjala, odprte mape, etc., ampak ne pokaze pa skoraj nic fajtanja, zato folk sklepa najhujse in v jok na drevo. Ne vem zakaj ne pokazejo uncut filmcek dema, ki ga imajo na E3, da folk vidi gameplay flow in fajtanje, pa bi bil odziv boljsi imo.

Zdi se mi tudi napaka, da ne lokalizirajo XX za Switch. Spil je itak ze vecinoma preveden (Generations), XX je samo nadgradnja kot MH3 -> MH3U, MH4 -> MH4U in podobno. Bi bili vsi zadovoljni, okoreli igralci bi dobili svoje, folk ki jim stara MH formula ne odgovarja imajo World, ostali ki pa imamo radi novo in staro pa bi imeli 2 dope spila. :D Glede na to, da sta World in XX na razlicnih sistemih, si ne bi hodila v zelje in kanibalizirala igralcev drug drugemu. Sem tudi sam ze delal racunice, kako se bom v kratkem znebil ~500€ za Switch + Zelda + MH, ampak zgleda mi je Capcom prisparal dnar.

Huge fan of the series and saw the single player theatre demo at E3. I came away feeling this is definitely a traditional Monster Hunter made "next-gen". Here are my notes:

+ Health and stamina bars not always visible
+ Use items at near full movement speed
+ Can lock on to monsters and quick turn camera like 3DS
+ Scout flies replace paintballs and show both trail and location
+ you activate scout flies by finding residue from a monster and taking samples, seems you can get enough to make it permanently on
+ Minimap can zoom to zone
+ Map still segregated into numbered zones, more interconnected, and no loading between them. But moving between zones is generally via narrow corridors
+ Slingshot used a lot for luring monsters
+ Traps and flash bombs built into environment, maybe still consumables available?
+ Some kind of paralysis inducing consumable knife
+ Monsters have a lot of cool animations for fighting each other, picking each other up
+ Mounting works like 4U, but you can move between mount spots. Also some way of eventually doing an attack
+ Great Sword moveset looks the same, but the effects for charge were much less intense audiovisually
+ Cutting tail looks hilariously exactly the same
+ Can use hookshot thing to repel down surfaces
+ Two new large monsters - the TRex and the frog thing
+ frog thing regurgitated some food it ate for little monsters to enjoy
+ had some way of summoning the flying monster to take you to base camp at seemingly any time
+ change weapons and armour at base camp
+ had a Palico buddy complete with its own weapon armour
+ HBG looked like it could always move slowly while shooting
+ HBG machine gun thing seemed like a special mode, depleted a meter
+ HBG had many ammo types and traditional ammo switching mechanics
+ sharpness meter was visible but never sharpened
+ gathering plants was instant with no animation
+ carving was slow
+ the demo had really aggressive tutorializing with the quest giver talking to you throughout and her head popping up on the right of the screen

Pa sej to so izjavili že en dan po Sony konferenci al celo isti dan. Res čudna odločitev, ampak hej to je Capcom. Tud Dragons Dogma je bila ful popularna na zahodu pa nočejo lokalizirat Dragons dogme online...

How do you view the relationship between Monster Hunter: World and the other Monster Hunter games? Is this a spinoff, or a main title?

Ryozo Tsujimoto: This is the next main Monster Hunter game. Our Osaka team is working on it. We've brought in some people who are more familiar with next-gen technology to come in and help us adapt it for the current generation of consoles. When you have a series that runs into the higher numbers, I think the numbers themselves start to become off-putting. New players might think, "Oh, I've missed four games already, I can't possibly join at this point." Just because we've taken the number off the title doesn't mean it's not a main Monster Hunter game. We just wanted to have "world" in the title because it speaks to the concept of the game in a variety of ways. This is the first simultaneous worldwide release for the game, and the servers are global this time.

Ja OK, ampak klele je govora o mislim da najbolj prodajanem 3rd party špilu za WiiU in špilu, ki bi služil kot test/koncept za potencialni gamebreaker Pokkemon špil.

Nintendo mora IMO zelo zelo resno razmislit, kako bo fural odnose s 3rd party devi. Switch ne bo nikdar imel raznih Battlefrontov, Assassins Creedov, Anthemov, Need for Speedov itd... niti se to ne pričakuje niti se ne bi prodajalo, ker so ti špili 10x lepši in bolj optimizirani na PC/PS4/XXX.

Ampak za zadeve, ki so pa pisane na kožo Switchu oziroma imajo tam že ustaljeno bazo igralecev, bi se pa IMO nujno morali super potrudit. Razni MH-ji, Street Fighter 5, Beyond Good and Evil, Persona 5, .. Nintendo bo moral bolje razumeti svojo bazo igralcev.

That's pretty much it. :D MH igre imajo ponavadi zelo skopo zgodbo, poanta je samo bojevanje. Fajti so spektakularni, zajebani, in dajo tisti zadovoljiv obcutek, ko koncno skuzis in nato sklatis monstruma, ki te je klal kot macko zadnje 3 dni. V igri je ogromno bestij, oklepov ki imajo vsak svoje prednosti in slabosti ter skille na njih, ki jih kombiniras, razlicni tipi orozij, ki se vsak igra povsem drugace in zahteva svoj cas da zaobvladas. Razlicnih orozij za vsak tip je ogromno, vsaka ima svoj upgrade path, ki se ponavadi veji na razlicne elemental efekte, etc. Potem je tu skrb za pomagace, ki jih lahko v vecini iger levelas, jim craftas orozja in oklepe, etc.

Vecina hardcore MH igralcev igra online, zadeva je skoraj kot nek oskubljen, lobby-based MMO z boss fajti . Lahko seveda tudi vse soliras, tudi najtezje monstrume, ampak za to moras poznat spil v nulo. Ce pades not ti lahko vsak spil v seriji pozre ogromno casa, fanatiki ponavadi pustijo v spilu po 1500+ ur, dokler ne izide naslednji del, potem pa jovo na novo. :D

Ce hoces probat lahko na PCju igras z PPSSPP emulatorjem Monster Hunter Freedom Unite, Monster Hunter Portable 3rd (z english patchem), ali pa z Dolphinom probas Monster Hunter Tri za Wii.

Main story je res skopa. Recimo: pride strašno strašna pošast, ki ogroža deželo. Kdo drug kot ti, se mora potruditi, da jo premaga. Seveda šele po urah in urah in urah trdega levelanja. Tako svojih sposobnosti, kot predvsem opreme in tudi pomagačev. Pa skrb za vasico recimo in številne obstranskosti (razne misije, trening arene...).

Jst komaj čakam, da pridejo ven opisi / mnenja, ki bodo nagovarjali SP del. Vem, da je glavna fora igrice delanje monsterjev v skupini, ampak če bo SP del narejen na proper, bo tudi mene zadeva ful zanimala.

Pogrešam epic fajte, kot jih zna delati samo Capcom (omg Dragons Dogma) :( :( :( no mogoče je kje blizu še Platinum

Probal beto... men je kr slabo :) verjetno ne štekam. Boj mi je ubitačen. Sam koncept pa tudi. Sem mislil da je to bolj zgodba al pa kej. Ne pa da si časovno omejen, zato da slediš nekim zelenim stvarem, zato da prideš Do monsterja čimhitreje. Ne razumem vsega hajpa okrog tega špila :/ mogoce si moram vzet vec casa. gameplay mi je zgledal hud.

Nekje sem slisal da si samo v beti iz nekega razloga casovno omejen, v celi igri menda ne bos.
