Game Concept

Area 05

Your road begins in Area 05, an evacuated zone located in the southeastern part of Finland. In Area 05, you will find shelters, traders, tasks, and starting loot for initial survival.

Your peaceful life in Area 05 is often interrupted by hostile Bandits, an anarchist group taking advantage of the lack of authority in the area.

Once you have gathered enough loot and equipment, your road continues toward the east, where you will find the Border Zone, a guarded border line between Finland and Russia.

Border Zone

Each Border Zone map has a crossing point with different challenges. Some crossing points may include mines or physical obstacles, while others require using waterways with boats.

On top of these challenges, the Border Zone is guarded by a group called Guards. These foreign border guards are armed, corrupt, and often rely on air support to prevent people from crossing the border.

Vostok

If you manage to cross the Border Zone, you will enter Vostok. Located in Russia, Vostok is a high-risk, high-reward zone and holds the most valuable loot in the game.

Every Vostok map is a permadeath map. If you die in Area 05 or Border Zone, you only lose the equipment and loot you're carrying, but if you die in Vostok, you lose everything.

Vostok is controlled by the Military, an armed troop with heavy weaponry and the ability to use armored vehicles. The Military faction is the most dangerous faction in the game, and they have one objective: to push you back where you came from.

Dynamic World

Time of Day

The game uses a 24-hour day & night simulation where lighting conditions change dynamically with sun and moon cycles. You can manipulate game time by sleeping, but most of the time, you will need to prepare for darkness when roaming through the game world.

Weather

The game has randomized weather states that vary from sunny to dark skies with thunder and everything in between. If you are lucky, you may even see northern lights on a clear night sky.

Seasons

If you survive long enough, the game world will shift from summer to winter, and you will start facing issues related to snow and cold. You can also choose constant summer or winter modes for your playthrough.

Events

On top of the changing lighting conditions and weather, dynamic events occur every now and then in the game world. These events vary from small ambient sounds to aerial events, like airdrops and crash sites, to faction-based special events.

Looting

Scavenge

Every playthrough is a different experience where loot and luck are core components of game progression. Scavenge, trade, and craft hundreds of unique items based on real-world parameters and progressive loot tiers.

Loot Systems

The game uses physically-based loot and loot containers, where loot never spawns in the same places. You can find hundreds of loot items in each map, and anything that logically looks like storage for loot is an interactable loot container. You can find consumables, clothing, medical items, tools, electronics, weapons, attachments, and much more.

UI & Inventories

Handling loot and items is done through tetris-style inventories with dynamic icons, item combining, item stacking, and quick actions to make the looting experience seamless part of the game.

Traders & Tasks

In-game Traders

You can trade items with in-game trader characters using an intuitive bartering system. Each trader is specialized in certain themes, like tools, medical supplies, weapons, and furniture.

Bartering

The trading system doesn’t use money and is purely based on bartering. All items are valued based on their post-apocalyptic usage value, where items like medical supplies, food, and even toilet paper might hold high value.

Tasks & Services

Traders can be used for tasks and services like medical care or weapon maintenance. The task system is based on trader levels, and through tasks, you can obtain rare items, unlock new shelters, and get clues to lore-based questions.

Shelters & Customization

Safe Place to Save

Shelters are safe zones and places to store loot. Shelters are the only way to save your game, and you often need to utilize multiple shelters when traveling toward the east.

Multiple Homes

All shelters are different from each other in terms of size and customization possibilities. One shelter may be a small cabin, while another might be a large concrete bunker. Certain shelters are unlocked by default, but some are only available through keys that you need to earn through trader tasks.

Shelter Customization

All shelters have a default template in terms of furniture, but everything is customizable through a decoration mode. This mode can be activated inside the shelter and gives you the ability to modify all furniture-related elements. You can catalog, move, and rotate all existing furniture however you want, and you can acquire new furniture through crafting or trading.

Item Placement

Once you have your preferred shelter layout ready, you are ready to start placing items for storage. You can use furniture containers for storage, but you also have the ability to place individual items wherever you want. All items are physics-based, and once you place them, their positions save automatically when you exit the shelter.

Sandbox Experience

Your Road, Your Character

Road to Vostok is a hardcore survival game, but it doesn’t force you into specific playstyles. You are not forced to enter the permadeath zone, you don’t have to care about the lore, and your character isn’t tied to any specific role or theme.

In some playthroughs, you can be a combat-oriented character with military gear, and in the next, you can be a lonely fisherman playing the harmonica on a remote island.

You create the story, the game provides you the tools.

Torej, sedmega aprila koncno pride v early access moj lowkey najbolj pricakovan spil letos. Predviden izid v EA je bil sprva planiran nekje konec 2024, pa so developerju pri glupem Unityju takrat opalili neviđen samar in mu dvignili ceno za assete. Pa jim je preprosto rekel "Spierdalaj, kurwo!", prekinil subscription in v roku dveh let prepisal celoten spil v Godot :ododava: Nekaj malega so mu pri tem pomagali zunanji contractorji, nekje 80% dela pa naj bi opravil popolnoma sam, kar je monumentalen dosezek v tako kratkem casu za tako visokopotezno zastavljen projekt

 

V zadnjem letu najveckrat wishlistan spil na Steamu, demo verzijo pa je do januarja 2026 downloadalo ze preko miljon folka in model je bil prisiljen demo pustiti na storeu :D

Demo laufa izjemno dobro, graficna podoba je odlicna, gameplay je trenutno se cist barebones walking simulator, ceprav so tri cone dostopne, med njimi tut tista permadeath cona, kjer ako crknes, crknes tut v RL, eheheh. Ma kr neki globine za demo verzijo, lahko upgrejdas bunker, ce najdes traderja. Orozja in gunplay so dokaj zanimiva, AI je drugace brutalno in totalno nefer. Ze v prvem ciganskem villageu, kjer domuje igralcev hideout, so lokalni scavi sami l33t h4xorji, ki te trenutno vidijo in zadanejo na drugo stran univerzuma, ce se jim sprdne. Me zanima, koliko so natancni drugi in tretji tip NPCjev, ki jih srecamo, baje da v demotu so, ampak mi seveda se ni uspelo priti do njih :D

 

Mocno obeta, od vseh EA naslovov letos bi rekel, da se najbolj

Tako nekje ja. V stilu Escape from Tarkov, kar se tice nabiranja loota in pucanja neprijateljev. Je dost Stalker vibez-ish, brez smotanih anomalij in horror monsterjev, thank fuck

 

Trenutno v demotu je na voljo samo en hideout na prvi mapi, Village. Ne vem, ce je hideout tut na drugi in na tretji, verjetno bo, ko izide. Ze zdaj pa se lahko delajo preprosti questi pri traderju in kupujejo upgradei za hideout. To so v vecini extra police in ladlci za odlaganje srota

 

Za uspesen exfil se trenutno steje to, da prihoblas nazaj do hideouta z vsem nabranim demo lootom in kasneje poskusis prilezt do permadeath zonea, ter po moznosti nazaj v hideout z lootom od tam :D 

 

Men je zelo zabavna in zelo obetajoca. Ne zveni in ne igra se kot random asset flip za quick cash grab v early accessu. Ne vem pa, ce bo kdaj za konzole though, bi bil pa blast

Js ne vem, kolk ostalih survivalov si ti igral, lahko pa povem iz prve roke, da je pri vseh tovrstnih non-AAA naslovih (ne samo striktno survival) na pecejih na dolgi rok moderska skupnost tista, ki tovrstne naslove drzi gor se mnogo let

 

V Project Zomboidu sem zabil nekaj manj kot 500 ur do tega trenutka, spil je dlje v early accessu kot pa Star Citizen v testing stageu, pa ga ze desetletje pa i vise gor drzijo masterpieci iz Steam workshopa, ki zlahka dodajo vanilla igri dodatnih +100 ur igranja, odvisno od tega, kaj isces in kako moddable je celoten spil

 

7 Days to Die recimo nima workshop supporta na Steamu po defaultu, pa mas za to nexusmods, pa ogromno je takih spilov, ne ljubi se mi vsakega posebej omenjat, Valheim, Empyrion, Kenshi...

 

Docim pri temu naslovu, Road to Vostok, je avtor iz prve dodal podporo modifikacijiam, ker na spilu dela popolnoma sam, minus plus zunanji cotractor ali dva. Ze za trenutno demo verzijo je na voljo preko 100 modov, lol

Te stvari drzijo te spile nad gladino, da ne razvodenijo, mas vecje indie studie z visjim buđetom, kjer so developerji rahlo lene pizde in se potem slepajo na modding community, ce je prvotna ideja za spil dost dobra, da se proda. Ta bivsi vojak iz Finske je pa celoten passion project iz leta 2021 preobrnu v full time job in je iskreno receno mindblowing to kar mu je samemu uspelo do tega trenutka. Se bolj ekstra svrsujoca je pa misel, koliko contenta bo v roku meseca dni prislo ven s strani moderjev, ce je modifikacij za trenuten demo ze prek 100

 

Nima model za đabe en miljon downloadov in prek pol miljona wishlistov, hype je dejansko realen v tem primeru :D

Seveda smo ze balls deep notri. Vceraj cakali toe to toe na official Discordu na izid in zadnji video pred releasem. Neki vec kot 5k folka spilalo ob izidu :)

 

 

 

V trenutnem EAju je glede na demo okoli 200 novih dodatnih stvari, event system, crafting, 6 novih map, shitfuck zadev za predelat, bossi, ribolov, questi, nov loot, furniture, orozja...

 

Laufa isto lepo kakor demo verzija. Banditi na prvi mapi znajo bit rahlo butasti, vcasih te lasersko pinpointajo cez tri stene, vcasih te ne vidijo na dva metra. Laufat v hiso takoj, ko slisis da ti en sledi, je cist legit in valid taktika. Also, shotgun je mocan za popizdit in dropa bandite na nezanemarljivo razdaljo

 

Event system je carski, dlje cajta kot mine v spilu, vec novih eventov se odklepa, novi traderji prihajajo, novi bossi, novi shelterji... Materjala je za 14,62€ v spilu vsaj za dvakratnik te cene, pa se sploh nisem prisel na drugo mapo

 

Dejansko je surreal igrat tole po tolk cajta, ta Finec je preprosto kralj :)

Addicting ko prasica. Vse odlike iz demota plus vse nove dodane stvari. Danes sem sel pogledal School, drugo mapo, ki je prej v demotu ni bilo. Detajli so zelo dobri, sama mapa, vbistvu obedve, ki sem jih igral do sedaj, imata zelo Tarkov vibe. Sploh sama sola je glih dost velika, tri nadstropja, NPCjev pa opazno vec kakor na prvi mapi, dost flashbackov nazaj v gunfighte na Customs mapi iz Tarkova v student dorms stavbi :D

 

Tut kr horror experience, enemyji se znajo zakempat v stavbi, ce te slisijo in ne crhnejo besedice, dokler ne odpres vrat in je ze skoraj prepozno. Bi si osebno zelel mal popravkov AI-ja, na sreco modi ze prihajajo, baje se je k delu spravu en model, ki je sprogramiral bote za singleplayer modded verzijo Tarkova ter bote za Project Zomboid

 

 

Lahko potrdim, da tip dela insane stvari, kar se tice enemy AI-ja, njegovi boti v Project Zomboid so bli amazing, SP Tarkov je cist druga pesem. Ce se je res spravil zraven in ce mu uspe isti AI implementirat se v RtV, bo to noro. Trenutni vanilla AI na zalost niha med laserskim pinpointanjem tvojih mozgan iz druge obcine ter med obcasnim bluzenjem 10 metrov stran od tebe brez da bi te slisali in videli. Veckrat sicer vkljucijo aimbot mode kakor dumb mode, kar je kul ampak so nihanja se vedno tu

 

Drugace pa zelo dogaja. Tarkov/Stalker vibe, brez ostalih human playerjev, ki te whacknejo v prvi minuti igranja in brez nuclear fallout monsterjev. Bi z veseljem uploadal svoje screenshote ampak mi prizadet forum dovoljuje uploadat samo fajle velikosti do 75.87 kB, znaci zalim slucaj :/

Game je vbistvu furniture stacking/alarm clock collecting simulator 2026

Drgac pa vedno vec dni mine, vedno bolj zabavni eventi so v spilu. Po sestem dnevu je 10% sanse, da letalo fukne airdrop, v katerem je precious loot za transit po naslednjih mapah. Nanj se zgrne sleherni bandit na mapi in vedno rata ven iz vsega zabaven firefight. School zna bit zajebana, prvic sem kr stiskal supak po hodnikih, ker znajo prasci kempat direkt v kotih, drugic pa tretjic sem jo ze celo znal na pamet. Zelo smart in vsecen design okolja zaenkrat moram rect. Po se nekaj naslednjih dneh pa pride crashed heli event, ki spawna crash site helikopterja na mapi, kjer so za zlootat military crate-i z amazeballs lootom

 

Ful adrenalin in dopamin nabijajoca izkusnja je tole, letos res prihajajo sami ekstra dobri naslovi zaenkrat ven, pa tole je v early accessu in ma gladko za par 50, 60 ur gameplaya, ce rushas cez vse, js pa se vedno po 17 urah zbiram metke za snajpo na prvi mapi :D Sick stvar. Res proper singleplayer Tarkov izkusnja, ki se jo je cakalo prakticno devet let, odkar je ze Tarkov zuni. So dolocene singleplayer imitacije extraction zanra, ala ZERO Sievert, (tut priporocam) Incursion Red River in podobne, ampak dejansko nobena na takem scopeu do sedaj. Proper, hardcore, non-handholding pa fertik brutalna, tako kot mora bit, fuck yes :)

Nov shelter, novi gunsi, nova macka, novi updejti, shitfuck novih modov

Skoraj sem ze pri day 50 z eventi, naslednji, ki zdajle pride, je event, ko vsi traderji spizdijo bek za 10 dni in grindam metke ponorelo. Late game je mnogo manj brutalen kakor early in do neke mere mid game. Kar sem si izklopil z modi, je bil permadeath na dveh mapah, (Apartments in Terminal) ker ko se odlocim za Minecraft Hardcore, se zanj odlocim od zacetka, ne na dveh mapah v igri :D Drgac je pa fear of gear loss a real thing. Ze ce crknes pod normalnimi pogoji v Area 05, kjer ni permadeatha, je vse skupi brutalno as fuck, ker ce nimas treh ali stirih loadoutov at the ready ves cas, si ga rahlo najebal in je treba naokol laufat nag ter iskat orozja in upat, da ma zidovski trader dober deal ali dva zate

 

Mape in izgled so tudi carske. Apartments mapa je fucking huge napram prvemu villageu in osnovni soli, ter nasrana s Spetsnaziji po sobah. Skoraj sem se usral, ko sem namest knjizne finscine zaslisal cyka blyat iz kopalnice. Banditsi so proti njim kurac od kurca. Prav vsak od Rusev se spawna z AK12, njihov aimbot in wallhack pa se vidi, da ni vec tisti, ki je najbolj poceni iz prvega Villagea. Ampak navkljub temu, da so overpowered v tem departmentu, jih shotgun se vedno one-hitta, pussyji jedni :D

 

Tatretji faction, guards se jim rece, pa sem po 30+ urah ugotovil, da so faking Americani in arguably bolj nevarni od ruskih specialcev, ker namest AK12 carryajo izkljucno kurcev M4A1 :D Ta gun je jebeno neverjeten v tem spilu. Sem ze mislil, da je peak performance headshotanje na 300 metrov z MP5-kico in ACOG scopeom, M4ka pokosi vsakega NPCja z dvema bodyshotoma, jebes razdaljo, balistiko metka in fiziko vobce, shit goes straight where you aim :D Z laserjem in silencerjem je gladko najboljsi gun v igri trenutno zame, poleg shotguna. Slednji je a must have za hajko po Apartments, dokler te ne skinejo skozi okno sestega nadstropja iz picke materine

 

Aja, pa stiskanje asscheeksov, ko se odlocis prestavit furniture iz Village shelterja v Outpost shelter, holy fuck :D Selitveni dnevi so scary as fuck. Furniture catalog je linkan s characterjem in zgubis vso pohistvo, ce crknes med muvanjem v nov shelter + iteme, ki so shranjeni v said pohistvu. Trve permadeath without even permadeath :D

 

Moderska scena je totalno poludila. Vec kot 300 novih modov v 18 dneh po izidu, med drugim tudi coop mod, ki omogoci multiplayer z do tremi kolegi, z rahlo spremenjenimi pravili gameplaya to je

Letos bomo delezni build 2 in 3, ki dodata hrpo novih stvari, nov AI faction, AI vs AI combat, dve novi mapi, nove traderje in zacetek dejanske storije ter igrinega questlinea in pa update lore-a v igri. Shit is very naisu :)
