The Miami Dolphins lost quarterback Tua Tagovailoa to a concussion in Thursday night's blowout loss to the Buffalo Bills, the third confirmed head injury suffered by the signal-caller in the last two years. If the concussion proves as "extreme" as it appeared Thursday, Tagovailoa could be sidelined a minimum of eight to 12 weeks, according to CBS Sports HQ injury expert Marty Jaramillo, though the quarterback's history of head trauma suggests "retirement has to at least be in play."

South Alabama blasted Northwestern State 87-10 as the Jaguars scored the most points scored by an FBS team since 1991, when Fresno State beat New Mexico 94-17, and it's (unsurprisingly) both a South Alabama record and a Sun Belt record.

 

 

Pac12 se pa reorganizira :) 

 

The Pac-12 is poaching four Mountain West schools to stand alongside Oregon State and Washington State in an effort to preserve the league. Boise State, San Diego State, Colorado State and Fresno State applied for Pac-12 membership and all have been accepted, the conference announced on Thursday. The foursome will officially become Pac-12 members on July 1, 2026. 

 

Pac-12 commissioner Teresa Gould still needs to add two more schools to reach the NCAA minimum of eight to maintain the Pac-12 past 2026. Sources told CBS Sports that schools west of the Mississippi in the American Athletic Conference could be targeted. That list could include some combination of UTSA, Rice and North Texas, as well as Memphis. If the new, six-school Pac-12 wanted to raid the Mountain West again, Air Force and UNLV would be two obvious options, too.
