The Mariners announced Wednesday that they’ve claimed outfielder Canaan Smith-Njigba off waivers from the Pirates. Right-hander Darren McCaughan was designated for assignment to open a spot on the 40-man roster. At least for the time being Smith-Njigba will head to the same city as his younger brother, Jaxon — a wide receiver for the NFL’s Seattle Seahawks.

Seven minutes before George Kittle's 6:10 a.m. alarm was set to go off, he and the rest of his San Francisco 49ers teammates were jarred awake by something else: the fire alarm at the team's hotel on the outskirts of Las Vegas.

Kittle jumped out of bed, walked into his bathroom, closed the door and waited there for the next 18 minutes until the noise stopped. Nobody was forced to evacuate as engineers at the hotel said it was a false alarm.


But not every Niner was quite as nonplussed by the disturbance as Kittle. When he walked down to breakfast, he took an informal poll among his teammates to see who was the grumpiest because of the early wake-up call.

The answer: a tie between running back Christian McCaffrey and defensive end Nick Bosa, both of whom are notorious in San Francisco's locker room for their devotion to routine.

"It had to be them," Kittle said. "You don't want to wake the sleeping bear. But Christian was not happy, too."

evo ga! BPE še draftamo pa nam lahko kar dajo Lombardija. :D Ne, saj ne, bomo videli, kako se bo znašel v NFL. Washington offense v celoti pač ne bo deloval, a je imo dovolj pameten trener, da se bo prilagodil. 

 

 

Huff je dober OL coach, škoda, da še Shepharda ne bo.

Konco po skor 10 dneh, tudi Wingsi v akcijo. Sam prot Canucksom. Je res, da so zgubili 5 zaporednih, sam kokr mamo sreco se jim bo lihk danes odprlo in nasi bodo spali :lol:  Pa se lepo ob normalni uri, tko da me bodo lahk hitro razocarali :D

Major League Baseball announced that former Mets general manager Billy Eppler has been placed on the ineligible list, beginning immediately and through the conclusion of the 2024 World Series. Per the announcement, Eppler violated rules regarding “improper use of Injured List placements, including the deliberate fabrication of injuries; and the associated submission of documentation for the purposes of securing multiple improper Injured List placements during the 2022 and 2023 seasons.” The league added that the investigation “concluded that the pattern of conduct was at Mr. Eppler’s sole direction and without any involvement of Club ownership or superiors. MLB considers the matter closed and will have no further comment.”
