To je iz iste države, kjer so navijači Interja stali na strani navijačev Cagliarija, po tistem ko so ti skandirali rasistične opazke celo tekmo na račun Dumfriesa in Lukakuja. Cela kultura Italije sloni na temu, da se norčujejo iz vsega in si dostikrat dovolj neki light rasizem na TVju/Youtubu, ni to tko kot v Ameriki, kjer bi nekateri že zganjal dramo.

Ti prihodki so že vključeni v lanske bilance, tako da za novo sezono ne bo kaj veliko pomagalo. 

 

Je pa klub tudi objavil, da je podpisal 6 novih sponzorskih pogodb, ki pridejo v veljavo s to sezono za okrog 36m. Ampak tudi te so že zajete v budget za 23/24 in še vseeno ni dovolj, če se vpraša Tebasa. Tako da bo še treba iskati dodatne vire prihodkov in/ali nižati stroške.

Slednja dva bi bila neumnost in verjetno niti nista realni opciji. Tudi ime Raula sem zasledil, a podobno je bilo tudi pri Villarrealu pa potem ni bilo nič iz tega. Imo bi bilo še najbolj pametno, da bi dali šanso prekaljenemu La Liga trenerju kot je Marcelino, ki bi znal potegnit maksimum iz te ekipe veteranov. Drugo leto bi morali pa konkretno prenovit ekipo, kolikor jim bodo finance dopuščale. Navas, Ramos, Raketa, Fernando, Lamela, Ocampos in Oli Torres so vsi v zadnjem letu pogodb, tako da če bo večina njih šla se bi moralo sprostiti kar veliko denarja pri plačah.

 

Almeria je tudi izbrala novega trenerja in sicer Gaizko Garitana. Precej meh trener, ampak verjetno noben drug noče tja. Škoda, ker ima njihov kader po mojem kar dober potencial z igralci kot Luis Suarez, Ramazani, Arribas, Kaiky in Pubill. Tudi igram trenutno z njimi v FM in smo že v prvi sezoni prišli v CL brez kakšnih večjih sprememb v kadru.

We have denounced the figure of 200 million that we once said was a recurring loss each year from the beginning. It is not something new, but it comes from the 2017-18 season, and fortunately we have been able to stop the drain. In the 2023-24 season we are capable of reversing this situation.

That is to say, in the budget that will be presented to the partners there are already benefits in ordinary activity, right?

 

Without the application of levers, of extraordinary ones, we have to be able to obtain a positive result and the budget contemplates it. We will be able to achieve it in record time.

 

It has emerged that there is an accounting income of 200 million euros without having received that money, but that it comes from revaluing Barça Studios. Can you explain it in a way that people understand?

 

We have a company that is 100% owned by the club and we ask the Assembly, and we are authorized, to sell 49%, with the aim of bringing in a series of investors, to give it greater content. Unlike other areas of business, it is a company that does not provide income, unlike other operations, which are painful, such as TV rights. Even the best-known item, the club's television, generated losses. We wanted to give a boost to this business so that it would give us income in the future, this was the purpose. We made an assessment, based on future perspectives if we gave it more content, of how far we could go. Along with other criteria, complex for us, such as the metaverse or NFTs, a valuation of 400 million was made by independent consultants. After approval, we sold 49% and obtained profits of 200 million euros, a part of which has been received and another is pending, according to a schedule. So much for the lever that was requested. Besides, there is an accounting operation: if you have sold half of the product for 200, it means that your half is worth another 200, in this case 208 for 51%. Therefore, following the auditor's recommendations, we generated this as an extraordinary income in the operating account.

Do you understand that it can be considered accounting makeup?

 

If you do it, certain people will say that it is a wonderful operation of financial engineering. It turns out that we do it and it seems that we are making a wrong transaction. Well no, we are valuing what we really have.

 

If in the end Libero does not pay, what impact will it have on the income statement?

 

There are two aspects here: Libero has not entered everything, among other aspects, because he did not intend to carry out such a quick operation; It was more of an interest of the club to link an income, a medium or long-term investment, for a business activity that would simultaneously serve us to generate financial fair play, which would benefit us with a space to register players. We put pressure, but when you put pressure, the other party asks for a return. We could have entered Libero's part without any problem, but they asked for additional compensation that was not good for the club from a business perspective. Now they asked us to continue calmly with payments in the last quarter of the year and we have granted it.

Are there alternatives?

 

If the payment does not occur we have other possibilities from very interested groups, but whoever has to decide the goodness of what and when the club is, no investor can set the conditions for us.

 

If the entire amount was charged, was the intention to ask the Assembly for permission for Barça Studios to be listed on the stock market?

 

It was a possibility, but in that particular case Libero imposed it if the payment was made before the date we had in mind.
 

What does going public mean?

 

In some way, we think that it may be good for the club to access markets that give a real appreciation of the company; That is, the market is sovereign in giving a value. And we can finance ourselves to give content and greater speed to this year's investments. It's not that it's a bad option, it's just not the time. Nobody has to condition us.

 

Doesn't it have to imply a future conversion of Barça into SA in the future?

 

No, we are also talking about a business that is not 'core' of Barça. It is a business that did not generate, that did not provide income. We are not taking income away from the club's ordinary activity, but rather it is a parallel business. It is not the FC Barcelona that is listed on the stock market. It is a company owned by FC Barcelona.
 

Can you do a quick review of settlement 22-23?

 

Let's compare what we said in the budget with what has been settled. We said there would be income of 1,255 million and we have obtained 1,259. 4 more. There has been a negative part in TV income, due to the premature eliminations in the Champions League and Europa League, largely offset by the increases in Stadium and the commercial part. The impact of the eliminations in Europe in the end was 25 million euros. There has also been less income from transfers than expected, for example, 20 million difference for Griezmann.

 

And in expenses?

 

We had budgeted 1,065 million and we obtained 1,165. We spent 100 more. Next come corporate taxes and the purely financial issue. Why are there 100 million more expenses? There has been an increase of 20 million euros in sports salaries, compared to what was budgeted; non-sports salaries at 3 million euros; management expenses 11 million euros; and there are other expenses, linked to more income, such as production expenses. Additionally, we have provisioned 100 million euros in this year, since we had had 208 million for the participation in Bridgeburg (Barça Vision). It is a counterlever, expenses for future fruit that we could have as a result of the backpacks of the past. For example, Alba, Umtiti, Mirotic or other players.
 

Piqué has forgiven, right?

 

Piqué is a separate case. The important thing is that we charge this amount (to exercise 22-23) and free ourselves from future backpacks.
 

Let's go to budget 23-24

We aim for 832 million. The big reduction is in sports salaries, we reduced it by 184 million, with a very deaf work.

Yes, it is the most relevant game of the club. Non-sports salaries are also reduced by 2 million; management expenses drop by 50 million; and other expenses drop by 98. Deducted from the financial result and with a much smaller corporate tax because the profit is lower, it points to a positive result. The figure we can present is not as relevant as improving the budget we present. It is ambitious, but we laid the foundations to ratify the viability plan.
 

In what year was the budget balance contemplated?

 

We ask for four years of patience to be able to reverse the club's situation at the income statement level.

 

And the debt?

 

I also feel proud to have lowered it. It was a slab, both in the criteria established by LaLiga and in our more rigorous criteria. From 1,350 we are around 1,200, with which a good job has been done. With LaLiga criteria, this is the second year that we have reduced debt. In any case, we asked the partner for four years of patience, telling him that we would try to be competitive athletically in the second year, because we have to combine it. In the second year we already managed to win a title like the League.

 

Are Espai Barça's construction permits immediate?

 

We are on the right path, we trust to have it imminently. And we are 'on time', we have no delays. I am convinced that there will be good news soon.

Justice ruled in our favor, therefore we were released. The Treasury insists on another route, we have well defined this route and we think that it will not prosper. But, even if they are unrelated issues, it is something that must be faced. Zelo rizična izbira glede na to, da nima nobenih trenerskih izkušenj v Evropi, je pa igral v La Ligi na začetku tega stoletja za Valencio, najboljšo sezono pa imel pri Atletih, ko je dal 22 golov v Segundi 2001-02.

Še Balde se je poškodoval. Bil menjan ob polčasu tekme s Škotsko in že zapustil reprezentančni tabor. Upam, da ni hujšega, ker res nočem gledati Malonsa na El Clasicu.

 

Ob poškodbi Koundeja verjetno tudi odpade opcija, da bi igrali Cancela na LB ter Arauja na RB, ker bi potem moral na CB Inigo, ki je pa zaenkrat odigral samo en polčas in je še tudi čisto zarjavel. Če bi pa že moral izbirat imam pa še vedno rajši njega kot Alonsa. Ali pa kapetana na RB proti Viniju.  

 

 

Ni slabo, če je res, čeprav zelo verjetno običajne bučke ob reprezentančnem premour in še vedno pričakujem, da bo podaljšal z Baski. 

 

 

Na LW imamo kar nekaj opcij drugo leto.

Felix - sem bral, da bo Atletico zahteval 80m, ampak imo bi Mendes verjetno lahko izpogajal za okrog 60-70m. Sicer je dobro začel, a ne verjamem, da je vreden toliko.

Olmo - spet se ga je omenjalo nekaj dni nazaj, baje ima klavzulo 60m in ga Xavi hoče (itak želi vse povprečne španske igralce, nič novega). Meni je sicer bolj všeč od Ferrana, a če že imamo slednjega v klubu ni potrebe še za nakup prvega.

 

Sicer dvomim, da bomo sposobni karkoli resnega investirat, če pa že bo kaj denarja na voljo mora biti prioriteta sigurno DM. Sam bi prodal vsaj enega od dvojice Raphinha/Ferran (prvi ima verjetno večji trg v EPL in bi mogoče tudi sprejel kakšno ponudbo iz SA), podpisal Nica in dal Ansuju še eno šanso po upajmo da dobri posoji v Brightonu. Kolikor sem gledal ga zaenkrat RDZ tudi uporablja v dokaj podobni vlogi kot Xavi Felixa. Bomo videli, kako bo v nadaljevanju sezone. Pričakujem pa, da ga bo klub še vseeno probal prodat, edino vprašanje, kakšne ponudbe bomo dobili in če bo mulc sprejel dokončen odhod.

 

Tudi ne bi bil nasproten odhodu Poljaka v SA, če Roque pride že januarja in se hitro adaptira, ampak pričakujem, da bo ostal še eno leto.
